Our client is a specialty chemical manufacturer with products with many applications. They are currently looking for a hands-on Senior Project Engineer for their facility in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago.

As the Senior Project Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage multiple capital projects at once from conception through implementation
  • Adhere to safety policies and standards locally, federally, and company wide
  • Prepare and manage all relevant project documentation, estimates, services, suppliers, schedules, etc.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget

Salary Range: $120,000/year - $150,000/year +15-30% bonus

Job Requirements

As the Senior Project Engineer requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment; chemicals preferred
  • Previous experience managing projects from conception to implementation
  • Experience with project design work
  • Familiarity with ASPEN software is a plus
