Job Description
Pay Rate: $70,000-$95,00 in base salary
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.
A growing personal care contract manufacturer focused on emerging brands is looking for an experienced Formulation Chemist to join their innovative team!

What You’ll Do:

Develop new formulations that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Partner with suppliers to leverage the newest ingredient innovations.

Create and test laboratory batches for efficacy and performance.
-
Troubleshoot and refine formulas for quality, performance, and cost.
-
Support scale-up by collaborating with Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
-
Participate in project team meetings, providing timely updates.
-
Maintain accurate documentation of formulas and manufacturing instructions.

Provide technical input to Marketing and support social media content.
-
Stay up to date through continuing education, trade shows, and professional development.

Travel occasionally for cross-site projects or industry events.
Requirements:
-
BS degree or higher in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

Strong formulation expertise with in-depth knowledge of cosmetic/personal care raw materials, their functionality, and interactions.

Ability to identify and interpret variations in products, equipment, and procedures that may impact results.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
-
Proven ability to identify and apply new or improved formulation technologies to meet project needs.
-
Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining priorities and focus.

Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory procedures, testing instrumentation, and experimental design/control.

Flexible and adaptable with a positive, can-do attitude.

Ability to apply technical expertise and prior experience to generate innovative and proprietary product solutions.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Sales, Production, Regulatory, and Quality teams.
