Job Description
My client, a food ingredient manufacturing company, is seeking a Sr. Buyer to join their dynamic team. This is located in the North Barrington, IL. This is a hybrid schedule.
Sr. Buyer, Ingredients -Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this position will be responsible for leading the procurement of raw materials and packaging.
Responsibilities will include:
- Negotiations, purchasing and risk management for food commodities
- Development and management of suppliers
- Work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Finance and Customer Service
- Lead and manage ingredient and packaging categories

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- BA/BS preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a sourcing role for a manufacturing company
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Proven negotiation experience and supplier relationship building experience
My client is offering a generous compensation package including bonus. This position will have a hybrid schedule.
