Sr. EHS Professional
Global organization is looking for an EHS Professional to lead multiple sites due to a recent acquisition. Manufacturing experience required. These programs are designed to prevent the occurrence of workplace injuries, illnesses, and prevent the loss of equipment, materials, and products. The Sr. EHS Professional will develop and implement programs and procedures for site compliance with EHS related laws, regulations, and company EHS policies. They will also monitor federal, state, and local regulatory activities to ensure site compliance. The Sr. EHS Professional will also guide, and direct employees assigned responsibility for EHS related compliance and develop / maintain expertise in state and local ecology related laws. This position will support the Absorbents and Additives Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on site safety policies and ensure they’re in compliance with corporate standards
- Ensure that safe working conditions are maintained through planned inspections
- Ensure corrective actions are addressed and implemented
- Guide all levels pf plant management in areas of EHS to assure all employees are properly trained
- Maintain SWPPP and SPCCP
- Maintain compliance with the Industrial Wastewater Permit for site
- Ensure all permit reports are completed and obtain all necessary clearances and certifications for two sites
- Manage all reporting for Discharge of Wastewater and Industrial Storm Water
- Host all permit and HSHA Inspections for site and mines
- Coordinate Crisis Management Plans
- Manage of IH & Noise sampling and training for all operations at the site
- Manage the respirator program and fit testing
- Apply for all permit renewals for the site and mines
- Participate in EHS compliance reviews and audits
- Manage all injury cases, first aid response, etc.
- Responsible for highest level of ESHA awareness & adherence for self and team

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering
- Must have MSHA Certification and SAP experience
- Must be knowledgeable of local regulations
- Must possess the ability to relate to and deal effectively with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
