Sr. Powder Coatings Development Chemist

Growing specialty coatings company with family atmosphere is adding a Senior Chemist to the Development team.  If you enjoy being able to formulate powder coatings in a fast-paced customer focused team, this is the place for you!  NO red tape here!!

This person will have a voice in where to go in NPD, lead and drive NPD, hands on at the bench, talking with customers, etc.  They have weekly meetings with the Owners, President, and other chemists who’ve been handling this R&D work (in other locations), Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing, etc.  This Chemist will be expected to actively participate in developing strategy, making decisions about the kinds of new products, how products are manufactured, and be willing to speak their mind.  Being the size of the company is small, they move quicker and decisions are made just as fast.  Customers are the top priority, and they maintain a 24-hour Customer Service line.  They are proud to be able to turn around orders in 10 days or less.

Innovative, creative, driven, record of accomplishment - how many products have you commercialized? - how have you met a customer’s need when you didn’t have a product ready to meet their needs? - what have you created that was different but successful?

Technical Qualifications:

BS to PhD Chemist with more than 15 years and strong general industrial powder coatings formulation, polymer chemistry in epoxy and polyester systems, and knowledge of pigments, and other raw materials.  Strong history of concept to commercialization, hands on in the lab and manufacturing, history of working well with Sales and Marketing, customers, etc.
