Sr. Regulatory Scientist

The Sr. Regulatory Scientist will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support new product development process including review of regulatory notification / registration requirements
  • Track global and country-level chemical product notification / registration requirements including: S. EPA TSCA, Global Agricultural Inert Registrations (i.e. US EPA FIFRA, Canada PMRA), and FDA Indirect Food Contact Clearances
  • Prepare and submit application packages for chemical product notification / registrations globally. Communicate with consultants/regulatory agencies as needed
  • Develop and maintain product notification / registration as well as regulatory databases
  • Liaison with business, supply chain and technical leaders in R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain as well as customers during the product development / registration process
  • Active participation in trade associations (CPDA, ACC etc.)

Requirements:

  • BS / MS of Science in Chemistry, Toxicology or other related Science
  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in U.S. regulations and standards, experience in preparing government submissions
  • Ability to interact effectively with business leaders, government agencies and trade associations
  • Knowledge of US EPA Sustainable Futures modeling tools beneficial but not required
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Strong competency in project management, negotiation and communication
  • Good multi-tasker, able to balance multiple applications and projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills required
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes applications and willing to learn specific database and web applications
  • Approximately 5% travel, primarily in North Americas but some international travel anticipated
