Technical Pigments Sales Manager
Mid-sized chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced and ambitious sales/account manager out of pigments to join their team. If you like travel and working directly with customers, this could be a great opportunity for you! Company offers fantastic benefits with competitive pay!
Duties:
- Develop and execute sales plans to increase revenue and market presence in the assigned region.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Under company direction, create and execute the proper sales plan to maximize market, sales and revenue opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Analyze sales data and provide insights into continuous improvement and sales performance optimization.
- Provide technical sales support and guidance on product applications.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, efficiency, and business intelligence to enhance productivity.
- Manage and optimize customer activity using CRM tools, sales enablement platforms, and analytics for improved selling efficiency.
- Provide competitive intelligence and segment insights, identifying key growth opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
- Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, monthly, and performance reports to senior leadership.
- Create a rolling 12 month forecast updated monthly.
- Ensure that call reports and visits are made effectively and contain information that can help grow the business, threats from the market, market information, opportunities and new trends from the market.

$120,000 - $140,000

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business or related field) required.
- Previous pigment experience is required.
- Minimum five plus years’ experience in technical sales / marketing / applied technology for color solutions in the plastics, coatings, construction, cosmetic, rubber, and/or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of product line characteristics and applications.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Must be computer literate in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce.
- Physical requirements that include those required in a standard office environment as well as travel.
- Experience in budgeting, capital expenditures, and standard costing.
- The position will require air, road and rail travel to customer locations, other company sites, trade shows up to 45%.
